3 Absolutely Wild Party Ideas
Full Feed Generated by GetFullRSS.com and Used Car Search Engine.I love throwing parties, and do a few times a year. I'm known for occasional far out parties, some of which are still being discussed decades after they happened. A little creativity goes a long way, but a lot of creativity is pretty rare. Here are three ideas that are pretty wild.
1) This month I have a party planned and am telling one third of the people that it is casual; come as you are. Many of my friends are quite casual and will prefer this. Another third I'm telling it's a "Black Tie" affair. Some people just like to dress up, so why not let them? For the last third, it's officially a costume party! Everyone will be very surprised, but dressed the way they enjoy.
2) Pick an absolutely absurd theme, and go with it. For example, for a gathering of my wine lovers group, I decided to do a "Wines of Kwanzaa." It turns out Kwanzaa was invented in the 1960 in Berkeley, so I served only wines from 1960, and that was just the start!
3) Have the party somewhere absolutely odd or absurd. My friends Stuart's 25 year anniversary of moving to Hong Kong was held in a very scenic rest area on the highway complete with lots of tourists stopping by for the view. We had plenty of beverages, and had the food catered. Another party was held outdoors in Maine in the winter, but my cousin and I had procured outdoor heaters so everyone was happy!
Creativity makes a big difference in a memorable party. That means doing something so unexpected that people will remember and talk about it for years to come!
